Role
Web & visual designer

I was part of a design team that worked on the comprehensive branding and visual design of a media arts festival with a diverse program. The festival included 17 indoor and outdoor installations, performances, a music event, a talk series, and an educational program.

In addition to creating the visual language, the team handled the festival's overall design, developed the website, prepared all accompanying print materials, designed merchandise, and managed all communication design.

During the development of the festival’s visual language, we collaborated closely with the design team and producers. Together, we discussed its concept, philosophy, and the team’s vision for the project.

A framework for audience touchpoints was developed during this phase and outlined a detailed design workflow. While responsibilities were divided among the team, key decisions were made collaboratively to ensure alignment and cohesion.

Among many responsibilities, my primary tasks included designing the festival's website and crafting essential graphic print materials, such as posters and the festival’s main brochure.

Collaborating as a team, we also developed a variety of additional solutions for advertising, communication, navigation, and even merchandise.

The result was the city’s largest media arts festival, which brought together a wide audience. Spread across various locations, the festival’s events and installations were open to the public, allowing attendees to freely explore and combine the experience with a walk around the city.

Overall, the team’s efforts resulted in a vast array of designs that covered all audience touchpoints. For physical materials, we provided full support throughout the process, ensuring high-quality outcomes from concept to final production.

The new bold and modern design language contributed
to the public buzz surrounding the event. The festival itself continues to thrive, hosting large-scale events in this format every year.

Many thanks to the team for an invaluable experience and a truly inspiring creative journey: Sergey Kruglov, Ksenia Chekhovskaya, Maxim Zhzhenov, Anastasia Kruglova, Anton Kolodyazhny, Sofia Sheremet, and others.
